Leadership Positions at The Hospital for Behavioral Medicine

Program Therapist FT/PT – performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. Must be licensed as a counselor or social worker.

Maintenance Technician FT – performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.

A&R Clinician FT (Eves, Wknds) – responsible for assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. The A&R Counselor provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Director of A&R. Provides general support to the case management program.

Registered Nurse  FT/PT  Eves/overnights – a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Must possess a state RN license.  Prior behavioral health experience desired.

MHT (Eves, Nights, Wknds) – functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling. MHT’s work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

ACTIVITY THERAPIST – a OT/R or COTA/L is responsible for providing compassionate, holistic care to patients by establishing creative but conservative plans of care that reduce the potential for injury and allow patients to achieve goals at their own pace. This involves assessing and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient evaluation, care, observation, and interaction.

FINANCIAL COUNSELOR Provide timely follow-up and accurate collection for all self-pay account, review, investigate, and troubleshoot open accounts in order to maximize reimbursement per department protocol. Make sure all patients are covered for services rendered. Check status of all claims sent to insurance companies per Business Office protocols. Complete documentation of all collection activities in accounting system per departmental protocol.

INTAKE CLERK FT – Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment. Process all requests for information and external referrals. Completes pre-certifications as needed. Assist in arranging for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager. Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
